Summer Reading Recommendations
escapism! poolside entertainment! vineyards and flower farms and lake houses and kissing!
Some news:
I’ve officially joined Trellis Literary Management as an agent! What a dream. I will, of course, keep writing this newsletter, which has introduced me to so many wonderful people who think about books the way I do. I’m not open to queries yet, but when I am, I’ll share here. Thanks for coming with me on this new adventure and supporting me since I launched Romancing the Phone last August.
And now, summer reading recommendations! For me, the ideal summer read is a book I tear through on vacation, a book that so engrosses me that I forget what other things there are to do, that makes me forget about FOMO and just enjoy the moment on a beach or in a forest, etc. I remember with fondness the summer camping trip to Big Sur I spent reading The Time Travelers Wife, surrounded by trees. This list is a combination of books I’ve read and loved, books I’m anticipating, and backlist books I think deserve more love and will sweep you away. Please share your most anticipated summer reads in the comments! And once I make a TBR list out of all of this, I’ll probably still mostly be reading The Pitt fanfiction and client manuscripts.
